The Accelerating Clean Energy Infrastructure Summit was held in Riverside, California on April 13th, 2023. This event served as a follow-up for the Strategic Growth Council’s Catalyst Conference, hosted in partnership with the Milken Institute, earlier this year. Speakers included Jigar Shah, Director of the Loan Programs Office at the U.S. Department of Energy; and Fiona Ma, California State Treasurer. Industry experts, policymakers, and clean energy developers connected for discussions surrounding hydrogen as a green energy solution, and the decarbonization of transportation and warehousing. Attendees also participated in sessions regarding innovative alternative power solutions, job training for a net zero workforce, funding and financing clean energy solutions, and a project development workshop. Each topic drew focus to the importance of reducing the climate issues facing this region to better the quality of life for all residents and industry employees, and speakers emphasized how public-private partnerships can be leveraged to maximize impact and speed up deployment.
